Thanks for taking the time to review the DocuComp demonstration disk. DocuComp is a powerful new program you can use to identify and report changes in your documents after they undergo a series of revisions.
You can use this demo program to compare your own test files of up to 6K
(1 to 2 pages) in size, or you can compare the two Microsoft Word test files, “Test Sample - New” and “Test Sample - Old” that came on the demo disk. In every other way this version of DocuComp will work like a commercial copy.
After double clicking on the DocuComp icon to start the program, you may want to take a moment to review the help dialogs under the Help menu. Although a purchased copy of DocuComp comes with an in-depth user's manual, these on-line help messages should offer the basic guidance and feature descriptions necessary to run a sample comparison.
The current version of DocuComp supports Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, MacWrite II, WriteNow, MORE, plain text and program listing files.
